Underwear. It is important for a good fishing tour. If you are wearing suitable underwear, then you have a much better chance to achieve good comfort during the day.
But what is suitable underwear for a fishing tour? And is it necessary to use “long” underwear to stay warm?
Good underwear helps you to stay warm and dry (condensation). And after over 20 years of developing underwear for anglers, we have no doubt that the best comfort can be achieved by using merino wool underwear.
High quality merino wool - it means fine and soft fibers - is comfortable to wear and is not irritating skin. Wool thickness is measured in micron, the lower the number, the finest is the wool and wool properties to regulate your body temperature and to hold you dry are better.
During the winter it is necessary to have good underwear, but you can also use the right underwear to keep you comfortable in summer too.
WizWool – underwear in a brand new way
When it is warm the underwear can transport heat away from your body, wicking away condensation, which can during the day develop moisture and cool your body. It is important to choose thin underwear with low insulating properties for summer.
We name our underwear WizWool. And you can find WizWool in many different variants for many different purposes and different seasons. For example WizWool 150 is finer and has higher breathability than WizWool 210, which is warmer. The higher number indicates thicker and warmer product.

We are using high quality 15,5 micron merino wool fibers,because they are fine and soft. Most of our WizWool products have 100% merino wool inside in contact with the skin, which gives you the best optimal comfort.
Furthermore, most of our WizWool products have a durable outer side, so that the lifetime is significantly longer and the stretch is better - properties we missed in many years before by the pure wool products.
WizWool 150

WizWool 150 is a soft, breathable, odor reducing, merino wool fabric with a highly durable synthetic exterior.
The part facing the skin consists of active merino fibers that react to changes in body temperature. So it helps you stay warm when the weather is cold, and cool when the weather is hot.
A functional fabric, made with the finest fibers, which gives a milder/soft skin contact.
WizWool 150 serves the purpose of enhancing the comfort of transporting moisture away from the skin, keeping your skin/body dry.
WizWool 150 breathes well and regulates your body temperature, regardless of the type of weather.

1. Skin contact fabric comfortable skin contact:
Next-to-skin comfort, warmth, and wicking. Comfortable, odor resistant, durable, and retains heat when wet. The synthetic part adds to durability and prevents the wool from shrinking.
The grid design also creates open air channels that improve breathability dramatically. A geometric construction to generate targeted touch points with a patented bi-component design. 2. Outer fabric:

WizWool 165 is a bi-component knit fabric.
This fabric combines the best of two natural fibers.
The Tencel® fibers (45%) are derived from renewable wood sources. Efficient moisture management is assured as a result of the fiber ́s structure.
Submicroscopic canals between the microscopic fibrils of cellulose fibers regulate the absorption and release of moisture, which contribute to the performance of physical activity by keeping the wearer’s body cool and dry.
Merino wool (50%) is a completely renewable natural fiber. Breathable and absorbs odour molecules.
5% of Spandex helps the natural elasticity to stretch with you, yet return to the original shape.

We categorize WizWool 210 as medium warm.
WizWool 210 provides both heat and functional wicking.
